Our Story (continued)

GOOD THINGS FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

Growing up ina small town in Saskatchwan, Gwen Willis began her experience as a seamstress at the tender age of eleven by joining the 4-H Sewing club for a period of seven years. After taking sewing lessons, Gwen's talents were recognized and she became an instructor at just 18 years of age. In 1996, Gwen opened her home-based business under the name "Stitch in Tyme" and has experienced much success ever since.

"I've experienced and enjoyed many challenges in my life, but the one that stands out for me was finding a solution to assist those with mobility issues when being dressed or undressed. When people are physically impaired or incapacitated, it can be a struggle for them or their care aides to deal with conventional fasteners...so I invented a simple and practical solution! The ZipEase™ line of apparel has a light-weight, separating zipper and easy-grip pull tab, making the experience easier for everyone!"

Gwen dedicated her new product to her friend, Chester Nordin, and the care aides that looked after his needs. Chester suffered from Alzheimer's and at the request of his support workers she was tasked with adding zippers to his facorite t-shirts to make their job easier. After doing so, they were delighted and encouraged me to make this new product available to others that face similar challenges. As they say, the rest is history!

From these humble beginnings, the inspiration and development of a product that benefits men, woman and children was born.

GWEN'S NOTE

It gives me great satisfaction to provide the public with a simple, yet practical product that will make their lives easier and more comfortable"
